In der Sitzung des Haushaltsausschusses des Bundestages in der vergangenen Sitzungswoche konnte der von Verkehrsminister Wissing verhängte Stopp der Breitbandförderung nicht rückgängig gemacht werden. Den CDU-Bundestagsabgeordneten Yannick Bury ärgert diese Entscheidung.
“Es ist nach wie vor völlig unverständlich, dass das erfolgreiche und besonders für die Ortenau notwendige Breitbandförderprogramm gestoppt wird, obwohl das Ministerium ausreichend Geld zur Verfügung hat”, erklärt der Abgeordnete. Zwar stimme es, dass der eigentliche Fördertopf ausgeschöpft sei. Jedoch seien im Geschäftsbereich des Ministeriums ausreichend Finanzmittel verfügbar, die an anderer Stelle nicht abgeflossen sind und darum problemlos stattdessen für den Breitbandausbau verwendet werden könnten.
“Im Haushaltsausschuss haben wir darum beantragt, dass die nicht abgeflossenen Gelder des Ministeriums dafür genutzt werden, den Fördertopf bis zum 31. Dezember aufzufüllen und so eine Förderlücke zu vermeiden” so Bury. Diesen Vorschlag haben die Ampelfraktionen mit ihren Stimmen jedoch abgelehnt. “Eine weiterer Vorschlag den wir gemacht haben war, die Förderbescheide zum 1. Januar 2023 zu erlassen und damit die Gelder aus dem Bundeshaushalt 2023 zu nutzen, auch das wollten die Ampelfraktionen aber nicht”, berichtet Bury. Ihn ärgere, dass das damit zwei konkrete Vorschläge abgelehnt wurden, die ohne Mehrkosten für den Bund für Planungssicherheit vor Ort gesorgt hätten.
Stattdessen habe Verkehrsminister Wissing in der Sitzung angekündigt, eine gänzlich neue Förderkulisse schaffen zu wollen. Dies bedeute das Maximum an Verunsicherung vor Ort und werde wohl zu deutlichen Verzögerungen beim Breitbandausbau in der Ortenau führen, befürchtet Bury.
